On behalf of the Ridgefield Homeowners Association, welcome to our collection of 173 homes! This is a deed restricted neighborhood, which is self-managed by our HOA.
The Ridgefield HOA is a nonprofit HOA and is dedicated to maintaining the neighborhood as a pleasant place for all. The all-volunteer group is responsible for upkeep, utilities, maintenance, and activities including neighborhood events. We are almost entirely supported by the annual $125.00 HOA dues, which are collected beginning in July each year and have not increased in over 2 decades.
We recently won a $5,000 grant from the City of Jacksonville that will match funds to beautify and increase security at our two entrances; work will begin as soon as the City gives the final approval. This will include security cameras and new information signs! Before that the only major expenditure Ridgefield had since 1989 was in 2022 with the entire fence replaced along the border. This was at a cost of over $150,000 and is nearly a mile long. We accomplished this by maintaining tight financial controls, and a nominal one time $150 special assessment was required.
We strive to maintain a beautiful neighborhood that provides a safe and enjoyable place to live. We encourage participation at all our events and welcome any new ideas! (in the past we have had neighborhood BBQs, holiday decorating contests, community garage sales, and 5ks)
